During the 2009 academic year, the school's representatives participated in local, regional, republican and international tournaments 40 times and achieved quite high results in such sports as chess, freestyle, Greek, Roman and Georgian wrestling, judo, karate, basketball, volleyball and others. The school has Georgian champions Mariam Tsaguria and Johnny Gogokhia in chess. Giorgi Melia is the winner of the international tournament in Greco-Roman wrestling, Giorgi Khuchua is the European champion in freestyle wrestling, Giorgi Zakariadze and Otar Gogisvanidze are the Georgian champions in judo, Tamar Bibileishvili participated in the Georgian and European tournaments in karate, and so on. As for the athletes who won prizes, their number during the year is more than 20, which speaks about the hard work of the coaches-teachers employed in the sports school. The school has 12 types of sports, 39 sports groups, which includes 720 students, the number of coaches-teachers is 39, of which 12 are the main coaches-teachers.
